Beach picnic questions, answered.
How much does a beach picnic on Oahu cost?
Picnics start at $349 for the Sunset Picnic for Two (1.5 hours, 2 guests). The Aloha Beach Picnic is $549 for up to 4 guests, and the Grand Hawaiian Experience is $899 for up to 6. Extra guests are $65 each and an extra hour is $150. Prices exclude Hawaii's 4.712% GET.
Do you only do beach picnics?
No. Picnics are our most-booked starting point, but the same crew styles the whole moment on Oahu — proposals, elopements, vow renewals, bachelorette parties and small beach weddings. Same permits-handled, set-up-and-cleared approach, scaled to the occasion. If you want a 200-guest reception with a dance floor, we are honestly not your team; we do small and intentional, not big and logistical.
Do you travel to the neighbor islands?
No — we set up on Oahu only. If your trip is Maui, Kauai or the Big Island, we will tell you straight and point you toward someone local there. Our Journal still covers all the islands, even though our crew only works Oahu beaches.
Which Oahu beaches do you set up on?
We work the shorelines across Ko Olina, Kailua, Waikiki, Ala Moana (Magic Island), the North Shore, and Lanikai, plus Waimanalo and Waialae/Kahala. If you have a specific beach in mind, tell us the spot and we will confirm whether it is permittable.
Do you handle the beach permits?
Yes. We are a licensed, fully insured Oahu operator, and we file every DLNR shoreline and city-park permit for you. You never touch a form, and there is no 4 a.m. run to claim a spot.
What is included in every picnic?
A cedarwood low table, boho floor cushions, premium styling and decor, porcelain plates with matte-gold flatware and linen napkins, a personalized keepsake welcome sign, complete setup and teardown, all permits, and a photo-ready orientation. You arrive to a finished setup and carry home nothing but the photos.
What happens if it rains?
Rescheduling is free if severe tropical heavy rain is forecast. A $100 fee applies for other personal or timing changes. Full payments cancelled at least 72 hours before the date are refundable minus the deposit, which is the greater of $100 or 20% and is non-refundable.
Can we add food, flowers, or a photographer?
Yes — everything is a la carte. Popular add-ons include a charcuterie upgrade ($120), a fresh flower bouquet ($125), a champagne-style toast ($95), a mini cake ($115), and a professional photographer ($450). Bundling related add-ons saves between $46 and $151 versus booking them separately.
